Autumn in New York

I once got talked into watching Autumn in New York, starring Richard Gere and Winona Ryder. I figured I'd offer a review while I'm awake.

Once upon a time in New York City, wealthy restauranteur Will Keane meets Charlotte Fielding, who makes fur hats for a living. Despite their age difference, and the fact that Charlotte has cancer (which she is hiding), they hit it off and see all the sights of NYC together. But inevitably, Charlotte gets caught lifting a stole of Russian mink from Saks on Fifth Avenue, and gets hauled off to Riker's Island. Despondent, Will haunts Times Square at night, and after seeking solace with an unidentified fuzzy rodent he suffers a internal hemorrhage and utterly exsanguinates. Charlotte meanwhile receives full medical insurance at her new home, gets completely cured, and in a few months gets let out. But she never touches fur again.

Or, you could read this review. But I think my version is truer to the original, or at any rate should have been.
